Celebrate Halloween with a spooky treat!
Make Halloween Bananas that are free of eggs, gluten, nuts, sesame, and wheat. They're easy to make and fun for everyone!
Try Coles Supermarket’s recipe:
4 bananas
200g white chocolate, melted
30g Caramilk chocolate, melted
Black writing icing to decorate
Method:
Step 1
Cut three of the bananas in half crossways for the six ghosts. Cut the remaining banana crossways into quarters for the four mummies.
Step 2
Line a baking tray with baking paper.
Step 3
Insert paddle pop sticks into each banana. Place bananas on prepared tray and freeze for 30 mins or until firm (this will help the stick stay in place during dipping).
Step 4
Place the white chocolate in a tall, thin glass or cup. Dip the bananas into the white chocolate and allow the excess to drip off. Place on a lined tray. Freeze for 5 minutes or until set.
Step 5
Place the Caramilk chocolate in a small sealable bag. Snip a corner of the bag to create a 1mm opening. Drizzle the short ‘mummy’ banana pieces with the Caramilk chocolate. Freeze for 5 minutes or until set.
Step 6
Use the writing icing to pipe eyes and mouths onto ‘ghosts’ and ‘mummies’. Freeze for 5 mins or until set.
